What is it?

Nevada’s Appeal(s) focuses on Nevada’s two appellate courts—the Nevada Supreme Court and the Nevada Court of Appeals—and on appeals from the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada to the U.S. Court of Appeals, as well as appeals in which any other federal circuit courts interpret Nevada law.

Nevada’s Appeal(s) will issue a free bi-weekly newsletter—Decisions Digest—that comprises summaries of published decisions from or in the above courts or appeals; it’ll usually go out on Mondays. Another free bi-weekly newsletter—The Overlooked—that highlights some of the unpublished orders from the Nevada Supreme Court will usually go out on Mondays when Decisions Digest doesn’t.

Other posts on Nevada’s Appeal(s) will be infrequent and might include judicial profiles (of past and current members of the Nevada Supreme Court, of the Nevada Court of Appeal, of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit sitting in Nevada); interviews of appellate advocates in Nevada; historical pieces on Nevada law and the Nevada judiciary; discussions, updates, and statistics relevant to Nevada appeals; and examples of superb legal writing in and out of Nevada.
